Can I set up RAPID myself?

webeye assured RAPID is a professional quality solution, so to achieve its optimum performance and to comply with the product guarantee, we recommend a professional installation carried out by one of our approved installers.

How is RAPID powered?

The control panel plugs straight into your mains power supply but it has a battery back-up if there is a temporary loss of mains power. All peripheral items are battery powered, so there are no unsightly cables.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes; The internet is the main communication network for transmitting alarm data, however, as a back-up, a SIM card is included in the panel which sends data via mobile phone technology in the event of mains power and/or internet failure.

Does RAPID record video?

Yes, but only with the visual verification option. Technically if an event is triggered, a series of stills are taken in quick succession to form a short video clip which is transmitted directly to the recipient.

Does RAPID have an audible alarm or siren?

Webeye app users receive an audible siren alert on their mobile phone if an alarm is triggered. If you wish, internal and external sirens are available as additional devices.

What smartphone platform does RAPID support? Can I access RAPID through a web app?

Currently RAPID works with Android or iOS (iPhone and iPad) and the app is free to download from either Google Play or the Apple iTunes App Store.

What is the refund/return policy?

What if someone steals or smashes my RAPID?

webeye assured RAPID has the fastest alarm delivery, typically 3 seconds from trigger to receipt on your mobile phone. This means if an intrusion is detected, you will know well before the burglar has a chance to reach the alarm panel. In the unlikely event an intruder manages to avoid detection from the system's sensors, removal of the panel and associated devices will generate a tamper alarm. If the panel is smashed and no longer able to transmit, webeye will generate a signal poll alarm if no communication is received within 24 hours.

I'm having issues with my RAPID, what can I do?

We've designed the system to be simple and easy to use, but if you encounter any problems, just call or email to discuss. The free technical support line (standard call rate applies) is available 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, where our friendly staff are on hand to help. During the contract period, if we can't resolve the problem over the phone we'll send an engineer to your home at the earliest convenience.
